Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "ToU") define the terms and conditions of use of the EKRAN platform, accessible at ekran.be. By using the Service, you accept these ToU in their entirety.

2. Definitions

  • Service: the EKRAN streaming platform and all its features.
  • User: any person accessing the Service, whether registered or not.
  • Subscriber: a User who has subscribed to a paid plan.
  • Content: short films, articles, selections and other content available on the platform.

3. Access to the Service

Registration is open to any individual aged 16 or older. Registration is done by creating an account with a valid email address.

The User agrees to provide accurate information during registration and to maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials.

4. Description of the Service

EKRAN is a streaming platform dedicated to short films. The catalog includes works selected by our editorial team.

  • Free content: some films are accessible without a subscription (film of the week, trailers).
  • Reserved content: access to the full catalog requires an active subscription.

5. Rules of Use

The User agrees to:

  • Use the Service for strictly personal and non-commercial purposes.
  • Not download, copy, reproduce or redistribute the Content from the platform.
  • Not circumvent technical protection measures of the Content.
  • Not use the Service in a fraudulent manner or contrary to public order and good morals.

6. Intellectual Property

The short films broadcast on EKRAN remain the exclusive property of their authors and respective rights holders. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

The EKRAN platform (design, code, logo, brand) is the exclusive property of EKRAN. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation or use is prohibited.

7. Liability

EKRAN strives to ensure the availability of the Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. EKRAN shall not be held liable for:

  • Temporary interruptions of the Service for maintenance or updates.
  • The content of films broadcast, which is the responsibility of their authors.
  • Indirect damages resulting from the use of the Service.

8. Termination

The User may delete their account at any time from their personal space. Deletion results in the loss of access to reserved features and the deletion of personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

EKRAN reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these ToU, after prior notification except in case of emergency.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These ToU are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, the courts of Brussels shall have sole jurisdiction, subject to mandatory provisions applicable in terms of consumer protection.

10. Modification of the ToU

EKRAN reserves the right to modify these ToU at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial modification by email or notification on the platform. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new ToU.
